Scholarships

The Augusta Community Foundation can help you setup scholarships in your name, or the name(s) you choose, to help a local student.  Contact us today for more information.
 
The list below are just some of the Scholarships the Augusta Community Foundation holds funds for currently, as well as some maintained by USD 402 in Augusta.  For more information on any of the scholarships listed below, contact us.

Armand Hillier (Booster Club)
Applications are available in hard copy in the counselor's office.  Applicant must have competed in a sport their senior year at AHS and maintain a 3.0 GPA. 

AHS Soccer
Applications are available in hard copy in the counselor's office.  Applicant must: have played soccer at AHS,  plan on playing soccer in college, have a financial need, and maintain at least a 2.0 gpa.  

Augusta Education Association
Applications are available in hard copy in the counselor's office. Applicant must have a 3.0 GPA or higher AND must plan to enter the teaching field. 

Baugher Memorial
Applications are available in hard copy in the counselor's office.  Applicant must show: a financial need, a reputation for good citizenship and moral character, level of academic achievement and participate in school activities

Chelsea Gerbitz Memorial
Applications are available in hard copy in the counselor's office.  Applicant must have a 2.0 GPA, graduate on time and be furthering his/her career through vocational and/or higher education pursuits. 

Chuck & Deann Korte
Applications are available in hard copy in the counselor's office.  Applicant must attend Butler Community College and show financial need.  Students without other scholarships who are interested in an Agricultural related field are preferred, but not required

Cooper Drug
Applications are available in hard copy in the counselor's office.  Applicant must obtain a 3.5 GPA, be involved in extracurricular activities and attend a post-secondary institution majoring in a medically related field. 

Walter & Sidney Ewalt
Applicant must show potential for academic success, attend a 2 or 4 year college and can NOT receive a college scholarship based on athletic, musical or dramatic ability.  

Gruver Memorial
Applications are available in hard copy in the counselor's office. 

Hoefgen Cheerleader
Applicant must have been an AHS cheerleader for at least two years.  Applications can be picked up through the AHS cheeleading sponsor.  

Hutter
Applications are available in hard copy in the counselor's office.  Applicant must have competed in athletics in high school, show exceptional character and show a financial need. 

Kiwanis Club
The Kiwanis is a community service organization that focuses on volunteerism and work throughout the community. 

Lesley Tharp Spanish Club
Applicant must have completed one year of high school Spanish and plan to continue studying Spanish at the university level.  

Lion's Club
Applications are available in hard copy in the counselor's office.  Applicants must be an AHS graduate and attend Butler Community College in the fall semester immediately following their high school graduation. 

Mystic Tie Masonic Lodge
Applications are available in hard copy in the counselor's office. 

National Honor Society
Applicants must be a member of National Honor Society to be eligible for this scholarship.  

Gene Nusz Wrestling
Applications are available in hard copy in the counselor's office.  Applicant must be a graduating senior wrestler who wrestled for four years, has shown good citizenship and moral character, and must attend a post-secondary institution. 

Friends of Augusta (Optimist)
Applications are available in hard copy in the counselor's office. Award will be based on GPA, extra-curricular activities, community and volunteer involvement and financial need.  Applicant must enroll in a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester at a post-secondary institution. 

P.E.O.
Applications are available in hard copy in the counselor's office.

Sally Annette (Souder) Puckett
Applicants must be Augusta High School graduates who have a financial need, have shown academic achievement and have demonstrated interest in societal concerns.  Applications are available in hard copy in the counselor's office. 

Soroptimist International
Applications are available in hard copy in the counselor's office.

Student Council
Applicant must be a current Student Council member.  Applications are available in hard copy in the counselor's office.

Vada-Vida Fletcher Business
Applicants must have taken at least 3 business courses offered through the AHS Business Department, must complete the typing production test, and attend a post-secondary school.  Applications are available in hard copy in the counselor's office.

Wheeler Friendship
Applicant must show: academic success, participation in school activities, show respect/friendship for others and financial need. 

White Eagle Credit Union
Applications are available in hard copy in the counselor's office.  Applicants must be the child or grandchild of a Credit Union member.
